Montjuïc is one of the most famous hills of Barcelona. One of its sides is located just next to the sea, while the other one is next to Plaza España, a beautiful square where you will find a shopping centre built in an old bull-fighting square, a great classic fountain and two big towers inspired by St. Marco’s Tower in Venice.
At the top of the mountain, there’s a fortress built in 1751 to control the boats that sail close to the city and to avoid naval attacks. During the Civil War in 1936 and the next dictatorship years, this castle was a prison where opponents to this regime where locked up and executed.
Nowadays, the castle is scenario of cultural activities such as open-air cinema, concerts or art exhibitions. Additionally, the views of Barcelona skyline from the castle are breath-taking.

Collserola Natural Park
This is an 8.000-hectare natural area which counts with a wide range of fauna and flora. In fact, we find over a thousand major plants and more than thirty plant communities.
This mountain range separates Barcelona from Vallès plain, and it is the largest metropolitan park in the whole world. In fact, its area is 22 larger than Central Park.
Thus, in Collserola Park we will find plenty of routes and secret corners where enjoying great views of Barcelona with your dog.
This is a beautiful park placed in Ciutat Vella district. Ciutadella park has an area of 17,42 hectares and is full of green spaces where people play sports, juggle, play music or just chill and relax.
Furthermore, in the middle of the park we find a lake where we can contemplate the beauty of the swans that swim in those waters.
In this gorgeous park there are lots of dogs that will be the perfect playing partners for our pet.
Here we find one of the most famous works designed by the well-known Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, who is also the father of other great constructions in Barcelona such as Sagrada Familia Temple, Casa Battló or Casa Milà.
Parc Güell is a precious park decorated with different buildings and sculptures inspired by nature and geometry. Visiting this beautiful space make you feel you are in a fairy enchanted forest.
